The Ohio State University African American Alumni Society
(or AAAS) is an affiliate of the Ohio State University Alumni Association. The AAAS is a reorganization of the Black
Alumni Society. Since 2002 many OSU Alum
and volunteers worked diligently to reconnect Ohio
State with the African American
community in Columbus
and to African American Alum across the country.
In December 2007, a new slate of officers were appointed to
continue our mission. These officers in
addition to countless volunteers, with support from the OSU Alumni Association
and many recognized partners, organized the first ever All-Decade African
American Reunion in May 2008. In August
2008, the Executive Board of the AAAS was complete with the addition of six
Members-at-Large and one Student Representative.
We invite you to join our effort of redefining the voice of
African Americans on Ohio
State’s campus and
strengthening the bond of networking, philanthropy, matriculation, and
graduation of many African American students to come. If you are not receiving the OSU AAAS newsletters
or email communications and would like to be added, please e-mail osuaaasociety@hotmail.com with your name and graduation
year and we’ll subscribe you to the list.
GO BUCKS!!!!
