Member Spotlight
As a graduate student in Public Health, Society member Tamira Moon founded the Minority Fitness & Health Professional Career Fair in 2003. In its first year, there were 500 attendees. In 2004, the number of attendees grew to 600. In 2005, even with inclement weather, the attendee total was the largest ever.
Tamira earned her MPH, CHES in 2004 and is now Program Coordinator for All Women...One Cause, Community Development at the OSU Medical Center.

 

Alumni/Student News
Dr. Oliver McGee (‘81 CE) was selected as one of the “50 Most Important Blacks in Research Science” by the editors of Science Spectrum, US Black Engineer, and Information Technology magazines. Dr. McGee is the Chair of the Civil and Environmental Engineering and Geodetic Science department at The Ohio State University.
Ernest Levert (‘82 WE) was selected as the National Technical Association Engineer of the Year. Congratulations on behalf of all the members of the AAAS! You honor us as well.
