Amanda Bankieris

Amanda is a senior at Sandusky High School and is this year’s recipient of the Alumni Scholars Program Scholarship as well as the Jeff Lewis Memorial Scholarship. Amanda is active in Swan Club (historian, vice president), Musical, Keynotes, Bell Choir, Model UN, National Honor Society (vice president), Newspaper, A Cappella Choir (soprano section leader), Cross Country, Track, Swimming, and Varsity Cheerleading. She is a DARE volunteer, a sixth-grade Fitness Day volunteer, a Northern Ohio Surgical Center volunteer and a Supplementary Center aide. She plans to study International Relations / Pre-Law. She is the daughter of Eric and Cynthia Bankieris.

Adam Davie

Adam is a senior at Perkins High School, where he is the Senior Class President, a member of the National Honor Society (vice president), Student Council, Pirates For Peers (vice president), French Club, SADD, Varsity P, STAR Cultural Diversity Group, Ski Club, Ohio Leadership Training Camp (head counselor) and Model United Nations (officer, UN staff). He has lettered in Soccer and Tennis (captain). He has volunteered for Al’s Tennis Clinic, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and HOST program. Adam plans on studying Architecture and is the son of Sally Kelley and Rich Davie.

Kalee Basting

Kalee is a senior at Huron High School where she is Student Body President. Kalee’s high school sport activities include Volleyball, Softball and Basketball. She is an Athletic Aide, a PALS volunteer and has been very active in Youth Group (“Leader” for the last two years). Kalee is also involved in Student Council, CARD Program, SADD Club, Communications Club, Peer TEAM, Latin Class, Musical and Choir. Her community service includes St. Peter’s Church Youth Group, Jr. High Retreat Counselor, Biddy Basketball Coach, Bingo Volunteer and CARD Festival Committee. Kalee plans to study Child Psychology. She is the daughter of Chris and Lisa Basting.

Mathew Jenkins

Mathew is a senior at Huron High School where he is the Vice President of National Honor Society. He is active in Varsity Football (Selfless award winner), Honor Roll, and CARD Club. Community service includes Ohio Veterans Home, Huron Youth Flag Football, Bingo Set Up and Tear Down and Junior High Football Camp Coach. He is the son of Scott and Sandy Jenkins.

Patrick Dewey

Patrick is a senior at Margaretta High School where he is active in Soccer (Captain, 1^st Team SBC, MVP), Track, National Honor Society, Foreign Language Club, Varsity M Club and Ski Club. He is the Percussion Section Leader in the Marching Band and Concert Band and active in Pep Band. Patrick is a Deacon at United Congregational Church of Christ and active in High School Church Youth Group. Patrick has been a referee for the Junior High Soccer Club and has participated in Clothe-A-Child. He plans to study Molecular Biology and Genetics and is the son of Irvin and Lisa Dewey.

Renee Roth

Renee is a senior at Perkins High School where she is an active member of Volleyball (2^nd Team SBC, Outstanding Performer, and Captain Award), National Honor Society, SADD, STAR, Latin Club, Spring Musical, AIM for Excellence, Varsity P Club, and Tri Parish High School Youth Group. Her volunteer service includes Sandusky Recreations Gymnastics Program, Biddy Volleyball Camp and Junior Olympic Volleyball. Renee plans on studying Architecture and is the daughter of Mike and Mary Lou Roth.

Helen Han

Helen is also a senior at Perkins High School. Her achievements include two Academic Letters, Honor Roll in all grading periods, and Perfect Attendance. Helen has been active in Pirates for Peers, Student Council, Relay for Life, Chemistry Club, National Honor Society, STAR, AIM, Spanish Club, SADD and Baptist Youth Fellowship. Volunteer work includes Volunteer of Local Centers and Big Brothers and Big Sisters. She plans to major in Pharmacy and is the daughter of Hank and Amy Han.

Kyle Wright

Kyle is a freshman at The Ohio State University majoring in Political Science. At Ohio State Kyle participates in the intramural basketball and baseball leagues. Upon graduating Ohio State with his bachelor’s degree, he plans on attending Law School. Kyle is a graduate of Huron High School and the son of Steve Wright and Kathy Seals.

Jennifer Schenk

Jennifer is a junior at The Ohio State University majoring in Human Development and Family Science (Early Childhood Option). She is a recent transfer student from Miami University and loves being a BUCKEYE! Jennifer is a graduate of Perkins High School and the daughter of Robert and Kathleen Schenk.

Laura Wohlever

Laura is a freshman at The Ohio State University majoring in Nursing to become a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. At Ohio State Laura is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and Buckeye Student Nurses Programs. Laura is high school graduate of Perkins High School and the daughter of Keith and Christy Wohlever.

Jessica Ford

Jessica is a sophomore at The Ohio State University majoring in Social Behavioral Sciences. At Ohio State, Jessica is a member of the Ohio State Welcome Leader program, World Bank Student Focus Group, SAIL Leadership Conference, Images of You Diversity Conference, Intramural Soccer Team, Alpha Lambda Delta and Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Societies. Jessica graduated from Huron High School and is the daughter of Rod and Jeanne Ford.
