Scholarship

The Ohio State University Alumni Scholars Program (ASP) is intended to provide recognition and financial assistance to outstanding incoming freshmen.  The OSU Alumni Club of Greene County will offer a minimum of 6 Alumni Scholarship awards at no less than $750 each.  Last year we were able to award 11 scholarships!

The standards for selection for this awards are:

Ranking in the top 20% (preferably top 10%) of the high school graduating class

Demonstrating involvement in school and community activities

Showing a sound interest and positive attitude toward college work

Be a resident of, or attend high school, in Greene County

Applicants should complete Part I of the Alumni Scholars Program Application, and then have a principal, counselor, or teacher complete Part II.  Application deadline is 22 January, 2010.

All applications will be prescreened by the OSU Alumni Club of Greene County Scholarship Committee and only a select group of outstanding students will be invited to interview.  Scholarship interviews will be conducted by the scholarship interviewing committee on Saturday, February 20, 2010.  Applicants must be present to be considered for an award.

Award letters from The Ohio State University Office of Student Financial Aid are mailed to scholarship recipients beginning in late March.

Funds for these Scholarships are from our Endowment Funds.
