“BUCKS FOR BROCK” SCHOLARHIP FUND
In 2002, the OSU Alumni Club of Minnesota established a
college scholarship fund that has been affectionately termed
"Bucks For Brock". The fund was created in memory of the
passing of the two year old son of long-time club members,
Scott and Kris Olson. Brock Olson was taken from us
suddenly, and after a difficult period of mourning, we chose
to come together as a “family” to honor Brock and promote
The Ohio State University.
The “Bucks for Brock” Scholarship is awarded annually to
student(s) from Minnesota who choose to attend Ohio State.
100% of the scholarship funds are raised by local club
activities. We receive no funds from Columbus. The
scholarship award is then administered by The Ohio State
University.
Since 2002, the Alumni Club of Minnesota has awarded over
$12,000 in scholarship funds.

Our goal for the 2005-06 campaign is to
raise $8,000 and award a minimum of three
scholarships to deserving Minnesota students attending Ohio
State. To date, we have raised approximately $7,000
for this year’s campaign!
How can
you help?!
Participate in our weekly game watch fundraisers during
football season! Nake an individual cash donation to the
scholarship fund (checks made payable to OSU Alumni Club of
Minnesota)! Donate items to be used for our fundraising
activities throughout the year! Help us come up with ideas
for new fundraising events and activities! |
