  2. Athletes going broke. Not a pretty sight, or tale.

  3. Two preview magazines pick Florida No. 1 in their preseason forecasting.

  4. Ohio State will play in two of the top 10 defining games of the 2008 season, writes Stewart Mandel of Sports Illustrated.

  5. A sports collectible firm has acquired rights to Knute Rockne memorabilia, including the famous "Win One for the Gipper" speech, but it's difficult to hear it very well.

  6. Penn State recruits say Joe Paterno has told them that a head-coach successor is already on the staff so stability will be continued.

  7.  Despite being hit in the eye by a BB-gun shot, Nevada's Quincy Bagsby is still on the big-time college football radar.

  8.  There'll be 14 OSU or former OSU athletes on hand at the Olympics in Beijing. And the swim trials are still going on.

  15. The Sports Blawger at the Sporting News lists his top 10 coaches. Our guy is No. 2

  16. ESPN's Mark Schlabach re-posits his bowl selections for the coming season -- and it's Ohio state vs. Georgia.

  17.  Antonio Henton may prove to be a Buckeye after all.

Buck Fans Need To Warm Up Their TVs a Little Earlier
Ohio State fans will need to get their body clocks ramped up a little earlier than usual for at least three Buckeye games this fall because the Jim Tressel Machine will be facing 11 a.m. kickoffs (San Antonio time) in three games -- the opener against Youngstown State Aug. 30 and against Ohio University on Sept. 6 and Troy on Sept. 20.
That brings to six the number of OSU games with assigned starting times.

OSUACSA would like to thank our volunteers: Randy and Teena Larson, Kelley Crooks, Mark Frye, Maxine Portner, Mike Schwab, Anna Capote, Glenn Miller, Phil Barbee, and Greg Jellick.
The Buckeye Nation was represented at this year's Final Four, thanks to our volunteers.
