Thanks to all who attended the golf and dinner event. We raised $5500 for the Scholarship fund.

Congrats to Stephanie P, the 2008 scholarship award winner. As one of San Diego's top students, she was awarded a $2000 award to help with expenses as she heads to COlumbus this fall. Gary Rectenwald presented the award during the dinner presentation.

Thanks to our special guests:

  • John Brockington - Played for the 1968 National Championship Buckeye football team. Was an All-American his senior season in 1970. NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year (Green Bay Packers) in 1971. Leads the Brockington Foundation.
  • Matt Wilhelm - Played for the 2002 National Championship Buckeye football team. Current player for the San Diego Chargers.
  • Pete Shaw - Former defensive back for the San Diego Chargers and New York Giants.
  • Phil Stone - Sports broadcaster.
