During the fall 2005, the Sarasota-Manatee Ohio State Alumni Club experienced an influx of recent graduates and young families expressing
interest in the local club and formed a Young Buckeyes group.

The Young Buckeyes group is a social network within the club focused on community and philanthropic events as well as participation in local
events benefiting the university at large. No additional membership dues are involved, in fact the club extends a special offer to Ohio State University alumni that have graduated within the past 24 months; the Sarasota-Manatee club offers the “youngest” of the Buckeye alumni a free membership to the local chapter for the first year of membership. Young Buckeyes hold quarterly social events and have been involved in many service projects and scholarship fundraisers since its inception.

Young Buckeyes welcome all Ohio State University alumni, friends and fans.  Our membership, is composed of individuals ages 21-50 and includes recent graduates, working professionals and families. The Young Buckeyes group is dedicated to facilitating camaraderie between alumni and welcoming new residents to the club.
