2nd ANNUAL SHELBY COUNTY OSU ALUMNI

NIGHT GOLF SCRAMBLE

 

 On Saturday October 1st 2005, the Shelby County OSU Alumni Assoc. will hold our 2nd Annual night golf scramble at the Sidney Moose. The purpose of this event, is to   raise money for the Shelby County OSU Alumni Scholarship Fund. There is no doubt that we are also going to have a great time that day.

Basic format and information:

The Sidney Moose is only a 9 hole course so we can allow a total of (11) teams to sign up. Each team can consist of (4) persons, male or female. We would appreciate it when you sign up, that you have a full (4) person team to make things as easy as possible.

Single players or pairs will be welcome and attempts will be made to place you with a team.

The entry fee will be $140.00 per team or $35.00 per player. Sign-ups can take place by calling WMVR Radio Station, Joe Smith or Rob Thorne and reserving your teams’ spot. Your money must be turned in by Sept. 26th or your spot will become available. (Checks can be made out to The Shelby County OSU Alumni Assoc. and sent to Iddy Andrews)  This fee will include your golf for the day (9 holes w/cart), your meal fee is included, (2) glo-balls and a glo-necklace. The meal will be a tailgate format in the Moose parking lot prior to the golf outing. (Hamburgers, Hotdogs and Brats) The Moose is allowing us to use their parking lot for the party on the contingency that we purchase all beverages from them, whether it be soft drinks or alcoholic beverages so please, do not bring any beverages with you onto the Moose property or we will be asked to leave. I will try to arrange for the Moose to have an individual upstairs to serve us so that we do not have to go downstairs every time to purchase a beverage. This will only be possible if they do not have the upstairs space rented out for the evening.

Things to know:

Start time approx. 4:00 p.m. Golf will start at dusk. (Please be prompt)

We highly recommend that you bring your own flashlight for the night golf. The golf course will be lit up with luminaries for the night golf but, it will still be dark out there.

Remember, this is all for fun and to raise money for our Scholarship Fund.

Door prizes and participation prizes will be awarded, along with 50 / 50 draw.

If you lose your (2) glo-balls, you will need to purchase more glo-balls to play.

In case of bad weather, a rain check to play golf at the Moose will be issued and we will still have one big party with a meal downstairs at the Moose.

Football raffle a big success  !!!

The 2005 version of the SC OSU AC ticket raffle was a great success.  Thanks to all of the hard work of many of our members, $2580.51 was made the SCOSUAC scholarship fund.  The winners were drawn Aug. 9th at Scudzys with each winner receiving 2 tickets to the games they won.
