Text Box: Most of you know that our efforts to provide you with updated information via a quarterly newsletter has to say the least, been a failure. I can honestly say that this is the 4th newsletter of the year, but that being said, this is probably only the second newsletter that most of you have received in the last 12 months. In our efforts to reduce the cost of printing and mailing the newsletter, I thought that it would be a great thing if we could send it out via e-mail to those members that we have addresses for in the data base. Good idea, poor planning. Then another was thought to be a rough draft by the publisher, and through miscommunication, vacations, and just falling down on the job, another effort was wasted.
It is my responsibility to provide you with upText Box: dates of club activities, and I will promise to do my best to put out a quarterly edition that contains as much pertinent club and University information that I have available. Unfortunately many of the club functions are tentative at best up to weeks before Text Box: the event, but as a board we will strive to communicate in a more timely fashion in the future. Starting in 2006, I will try to have the newsletters ready for mailing in a manner that will best keep members informed of club activities.

Buckeye Banter

Text Box: Ohio State 34 Notre Dame 20
Just another great day to be a Buckeye.
Text Box: January 2, 2006 marked the 3rd time in four years that The Ohio State University Buckeyes football team has played in the BCS Fiesta Bowl. This year’s game garnered almost as much attention as did the National Championship game in Text Box: 2003. The reason, our Buckeyes played the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
A game that had stories of OSU’s star linebacker A.J. Hawk dating the rival quarterback’s sister. Bobby Carpenter suited up, but would he play? And which Text Box: OSU offense would show up. While the double O.T. game may have had more thrills, this one didn’t disappoint many Buckeye faithful. Next year we will start the season with Tempe as our desired destination. Can we make it 4 out of 5? Go Buckeyes!!
Text Box: The Shelby County Ohio State University Alumni Club holds board meetings on the second Tuesday of the even months. The meetings are held at the Sidney Moose Lodge at 6:30pm, and members are welcome to attend.
