Text Box: Roger Bender has again taken the lead in organizing the scholarship committee to evaluate and interview candidates for this years scholarships. As many of you are aware we give 3 scholarships away each year. The Ralph Stolle Scholarship goes to the number one candidate for four years and while the market value varies, this years projected value is $18,137.00. The SC OSU AC Scholarship is awarded to the number two candidate and also varies by market conditions. This years projected value is $1303.00. Our third scholarship is the for $500.00 and is awarded by the club through the Alumni Scholars Program (ASP). This year we received 10 applications and interviewed 7 applicants. This is by far the least number of applicants we have had in some time and we would encourage all Buckeyes to promote our Scholarship program, after all, it is the reason we are in existence. This years interviewers included: Larry Kleinhans, Elaine Laughlin and Helen Ward. Many thanks go out to these folks for the hard work and dedication. We have filed our recommendations with the University and await their approval. Also, all applications have been forwarded to the University for further consideration and all applicants were given the information to apply for the James Kleinke Scholarship awarded through our local Community Foundation. Text Box: Scholarship Applicants for 2003: Text Box: Mike Leiber has successfully designed an impressive tribute to The Ohio State University. The SC OSU AC was proud to donate $200.00 to the YMCA’s efforts and a great big thank you goes out to all who donated personally to this project as well. There is still plenty of wall space available if you are interested in donating any Buckeye memorabilia. You simply need sort though all of your Buckeye paraphernalia and pick out anything you have duplicates of or donate what you think would represent Ohio State and the SC OSU AC properly. Framed pictures will be mounted to the wall.
