2010 Events

Reverse Raffle      February 2011 TBA

    The annual Reverse Raffle will be at Guy's Party Center.  Tickets are $50 each and may be purchased from any of the club officers.  The event starts with a cash bar at 6:00 P.M.  Dinner is at 7:00 P.M. and the raffle begins at 8:00 P.M.  Each ticket entitles you to dinner and a chance to win.   Profits help fund our scholarship awards.

Night at the Races      Date TBA

Consider joining your fellow Buckeyes from the Ohio State Alumni Club of Summit County at our spring social, Night at the Races.

Gates open at 6:00 P.M. at Northfield Park, 10705 Northfield Road, Northfield, Ohio.  The evening begins with Buckeye fellowship and a buffet dinner all in a heated club house. The races can be viewed from the club house and begin around 7:00 P.M.   The cost is $25.00 and includes admission to the park, parking and dinner.

Akron Aeros Game    Date: July 20, 2010

Come join the club for an evening at Canal Park. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. A double play picnic dinner begins the evening with the game following at 7:05 PM. Tickets for the game and picnic are $20.00. Freshman Sendoff      August 17, 2010

The annual Freshman Sendoff for Freshmen attending OSU will be at Mingo Pavilion in Sand Run Metropolitan Park.  Contact Gloria Dallinga at 330-836-8103 for more information. 

State Day Dinner    Date: September 14, 2010

The annual State Day Dinner will be at the Firestone Country Club 452 Warner Road, Akron.  The cost is $40 per person which includes a buffet dinner and speaker.  The evening begins at 6:00 PM with a social hour and cash bar followed by our scholarship students and speaker, Greg Frey. Greg has served as a football analyst for CSN and ONN.  He was a quarterback for the Buckeyes and was on the Ohio State Baseball Team the season of the 1991 Big Ten Championship.  To make your reservations, send $40 (per person) check to Dr. Burton Job, 705 Crystal Lake Rd.
