Club Scholarship Program

Our alumni club began awarding scholarships in May 2005.  Graduating seniors from high schools in the Southwest Virginia area who enroll at Ohio State as freshmen may be considered for an initial scholarship.

Standards include:

• Ranking in top 25% of high school graduating class.
• Demonstrated involvement in high school and community activities.
• A sound interest and positive attitude towards college work

Students attending OSU after their freshman year may also be considered for scholarships, if they are in good standing with the University.

We have three (3) funding sources for the scholarships we award:

• The Marjorie Forrest Lockridge OSU Endowed Scholarship Fund.
• Our club's funds raised through donations, raffles, etc.
• Donations made directly to the Club Scholarship Fund (Fund Number 302208). These may be made online or by mail (see bottom of page).

We have awarded over $27,000 in scholarships since we began in 2005.  Currently, we are positioned to award over $5,000 per year to one or more students.  You can help us do more by contributing directly to our scholarship fund (see below).

Tax deductible donations may be made online directly through Ohio State to the OSU Alumni Club of Southwest Virginia Scholarship Fund online by clicking DONATE NOW.

Tax deductible contributions to our scholarship fund may also be made by mail.  Checks should be made payable to The Ohio State University noting "Current Use Fund #302208" on the memo line. Checks should be mailed to:
