SCHOLARSHIPS

ABOUT THE FUND

Our Civil Engineering Alumni Association Scholarship Fund was established several years ago, and is funded by donations and the proceeds from special events held during the year. The fund is administered through the University Scholarship Office. Nominations for scholarships to be awarded on an annual basis are made through the Civil Engineering Department. The number and amount of scholarships depends on the financial returns produced by the invested principle. We are proud that our members have helped to make this scholarship fund possible.

YOU CAN HELP!!!!!

For those wishing to contribute to a scholarship program for Civil Engineering students, please consider contributing to the Civil Engineering Alumni Scholarship Fund (the fund number is 641258). the University requires many steps to establish a scholarship, and our organization has taken the time and effort to do this. contributing to our existing fund will save you time and effort. Please contact our President, Scott Jackson at sjackson@usgs.gov or any Board member to contribute.

The Board continues to be lifetime members of the President's Club. This occurs when a person or organization donates a total of $100,000. After becoming lifetime members, the Board will decide whether to continue donating to the existing account, or to begin a second account. A second account would give us the opportunity to purchase a second set of season football tickets. Continuing to donate to the original account will result in improved seat location.

A $10,000 donation was made to the scholarship fund at the February Board meeting. This donation brings the estimated total principal balance to $121,565. The estimated amount able to be awarded is $5,687.
